Not everyone needs a private advisor just like not everyone needs a financial advisor, accountant or lawyer. It depends on your circumstances. That is why we simply advise everyone to have a conversation with us. A conversation involves no commitment and allows us to help understand your circumstances, needs, and goals. If we can devise a plan for success we will let you know with no pressure at all to retain us. If we do not see a clear path to success, or do not see many opportunities for the college experience you desire, we will let you know that as well and advise you not retain us. We do not solicit clients, so if you want to chat with us we welcome you to contact us directly. We'll listen to your situation and recommend some options without any pressure to retain us.
Beach Prospects works with a wide variety of clients of all abilities and aspirations. We are happy to meet prospective NCAA, NAIA and junior college prospects and will help to evaluate the best athletic level fit for each family. We work with both domestic and international college prospects. We also work with graduate and undergraduate college transfers. We even strategically partner with select beach volleyball clubs who want to increase their level of service to their families. Our only limitations are self-imposed. We limit the number of clients we simultaneous advise solely to ensure we maintain a high level of personal attention and service. We also carefully scrutinize every prospective client's situation to ensure we can provide value commensurate with your investment in us.
No. We are an agency that provides advising services to private clients in the college search and recruiting process for beach volleyball. Beach Prospects also created and operates a digital platform (College Beach Navigator) that provides comprehensive profiles and insights into every four-year beach volleyball college in the country. Beach Prospects does not own or operate a club and does not have any kind of "preferred" clients.
We have a national practice with clients from all over the country and we travel extensively to support them in beach volleyball events from coast to coast. Our clients are from the Pacific Northwest, Southwest, South Central, Mid-West, Southeast, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country and they have committed to 39 different NCAA D-I, D-II, and NAIA colleges and universities.
Absolutely! We are professional advisors who work full-time on behalf of our clients. We do not have side jobs and don't travel to play volleyball. We understand that families want advisors who make client needs a full-time priority. Moreover, we are highly experienced at servicing clients across time zones and routinely work beyond east coast business hours for our pacific time zone clients. For families with day jobs and children in school we easily work around our clients' schedules to consult into the evening as needed.
No. There is a lot of confusion over the term "recruiting service." A "recruiting or scouting service" is not someone who provides recruiting related advice or who helps prospects in the recruiting process. A "recruiting service" is a specific type of business that is primarily engaged in scouting talent, collecting information on prospects, and packaging it for delivery to college coaches. "Recruiting or scouting services" cater to the informational needs of coaches and so are regulated by NCAA rule in order to ensure that all coaches have an equal opportunity to subscribe to their services. Beach Prospects is the opposite of a recruiting service in that we advise private clients. The NCAA has agreed that we are in the business of serving the educational and informational needs of private clients, not coaches, and so are not a recruiting service.
No. NCAA bylaws prohibit players and prospects from agreeing to be represented by an agent for the purpose of marketing their athletics ability or reputation in a sport. Privately advising prospects and families on how to find the right college fit and engage the process of college recruiting is not acting as an agent. Beach Prospects operates its advising service specifically to avoid any suggestion of being an agent in order to protect our clients and preserve their eligibility.
NIL agents are individuals or entities that help student athletes procure and negotiate Name, Image, and Likeness contracts. NCAA bylaws permit players to hire NIL agents, as an exception to the general rule that agents are prohibited. NIL agents must not market athletics ability or reputation and generally are subject to local state laws governing sports or athlete agents. It is Beach Prospects' self-imposed policy not to provide private advising services to clients who have retained us as NIL Agents.
