Frequently Asked Questions

We love helping families!  Contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Get in Touch

Not everyone needs a private advisor just like not everyone needs a financial advisor, accountant or lawyer.  It depends on your circumstances.  That is why we simply advise everyone to have a conversation with us.  A conversation involves no commitment and allows us to help understand your circumstances, needs, and goals.  We love talking with families.  If we can provide you a path to success we will let you know with no pressure at all to retain us.  If we do not see a clear path to success, or do not see many opportunities for the college experience you desire, we will let you know that as well and advise you not retain us.  Simple.  Some families already have someone helping them in the recruiting process.  We have no interest in replacing anyone.  Families already receiving assistance may only need the insights and profiles available on our digital platform - College Beach Navigator.  Our educational insights easily can be used to identify or compare potential opportunities while your club director handles everything else.  We also do not solicit clients, so if you want to chat with us we welcome you to contact us directly. We'll listen to your situation and recommend some options without any pressure to retain us.

Beach Prospects works with a wide variety of clients of all abilities and aspirations.  We are happy to meet prospective NCAA, NAIA and junior college prospects and will help to evaluate the best athletic level fit for each family.  We work with both domestic and international college prospects.  We also work with graduate and undergraduate college transfers.  We even strategically partner with select beach volleyball clubs who want to increase their level of service to their families.  We do limit the number of clients we have at any one time in order to ensure that we can provide highly personal attention to our families. In all cases we carefully scrutinize your situation and goals and agree to move forward only if we're convinced that we can provide value to your family to justify your investment in us.

No.  We are a consultancy that provides advising services to private clients in the college search and recruiting process for beach volleyball.  Beach Prospects also created and operates a digital platform (College Beach Navigator) that provides comprehensive profiles and insights into every four-year beach volleyball college in the country.  Beach Prospects does not own or operate a club and does not have any kind of "preferred" clients.  Anyone making any contrary statements in the public is entirely inaccurate.

Yes.  As strategic advisors we are capable of customizing our offerings to our clients' individual needs.  For example, transfer students are on a shorter timeline, with different needs, than prospective college freshmen.  International students often have different informational needs than domestic prospects.  And consulting with club directors requires a different approach than advising individual clients. Among our private clients, some families may need help only with discrete aspects of the recruiting process while others prefer to reserve our most comprehensive level of personal attention.  We even created a digital platform (College Beach Navigator) for families who would like to conduct their own process, or who are working with their clubs for recruiting, but who can benefit from the tolls and insights we provide there.  The best way to learn which approach is best for you is to contact us directly to discuss your situation and goals.

We have a national practice with clients from all over the country and we travel extensively to support them in beach volleyball events from coast to coast.  Our clients are from the Pacific Northwest, Southwest, South Central, Mid-West, Southeast, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country and they have committed to 39 different NCAA D-I, D-II, and NAIA colleges and universities.

Absolutely!   We are professional advisors who work full-time on behalf of our clients.  We do not have side jobs and don't travel to play volleyball.  We understand that families want advisors who make client needs a full-time priority. Moreover, we are highly experienced at servicing clients across time zones and routinely work beyond east coast business hours for our pacific time zone clients.  For families with day jobs and children in school we easily work around our clients' schedules to consult into the evening as needed.

We recently revised our service options, and their associated fees, to provide greater access to families with various budgets.  We also are happy to discuss accommodations that allow everyone to access our assistance and would love to discuss your needs directly with you.  We also recently developed the College Beach Navigator to allow families to access extensive insights on every college beach volleyball program in the country through an online platform at a very accessible cost to families in order to ensure everyone has meaningful access to the information they need to make informed choices.

Absolutely!  One of the ways we serve our core mission is to provide the public with free educational and research materials on popular topics in recruiting.  Navigate to Research and Education for our free materials.  We also offer free "Tips of the Day" on our Instagram account (beachprospects) and free data-driven coverage of college beach volleyball on Beach Prospects Analytics, also on Instagram.

Beach Prospects is not a recruiting service as defined by the NCAA.  A recruiting (or scouting) service is a business primarily engaged in scouting talent, collecting information and packaging it for delivery to college coaches commonly by subscription.  Recruiting and scouting services are restricted by NCAA rules.  Beach Prospects does the opposite of a recruiting service by serving the needs of families for education and strategic advice.  We cater primarily to families, not to coaches, as private advisors to our clients.

Thank you for your constant motivation and encouragement. We appreciate your support though the recruiting process. Great leaders create great leaders. Thank you for being one for Aubrey McBride.
