Transfer Process

The decision to transfer can be one of the most emotional and uncertain moments in a student-athlete's college journey. It often follows a disappointment, unexpected change, or disruption to plans that once felt settled, making it difficult to separate emotion from strategy and evaluate the path forward with confidence.  We guide families through the strategic decision whether to transfer schools by helping them assess risks, opportunities, and next steps with experienced, objective guidance. 

Changes to the transfer rules have provided student-athletes with more control over their ability to transfer than ever before.  Among all NCAA sports, beach volleyball has the second highest percentage of its athletes seeking to transfer.  While initiating the transfer process is fairly  straight forward the implications for doing so are less well known.  There are also new timing requirements on entering the transfer portal  that affect student-athletes' ability to communicate with other potential schools.  Whether families are looking to maximize their scholarship value, increase playing time, considering their options during a coaching change, or just looking for a better fit, we have  successfully advised numerous clients though the transfer process.
